The hourly rate on all projects is $50 plus expenses.
Total Project Cost
The total cost of each project is set by the client, and then we work within that budget to produce the best possible product. We are available to work on small projects involving relatively little research, or large projects involving months or years of extensive research.
A written project description is provided to each client prior to the start of every project. The project description describes the specific work to be done, and it lists the maximum amount of time plus expenses that the client authorizes for the work.
The nature of family history research makes it impossible to know ahead of time exactly how much research is needed to accomplish the goals of each client, so we always conduct a free consultation with each client prior to the start of every project. This enables us to make a recommendation as to what size project (authorized time plus expenses) might be the best starting point to accomplish the goals of the client.
At the completion of each project, the client can review the compiled family history material and authorize additional research if desired.
A 50% deposit is required for each project.
