Hourly Rate
The hourly rate on all research projects is $35.00 plus expenses.
Expenses
Expenses that are billed to the client include the costs of:
- admission to research facilities
- copies of records from public and private repositories
- microfilm rentals
- parking
- photocopies
- postage
- public transportation and taxis
- translators
- personal vehicle mileage: $.50 per mile
Research Blocks
Research projects are conducted in “research blocks” that are pre-set amounts of “time plus expenses”, that are determined by the client. One client may want only a few hours of research done on a particular problem, but another client may want hundreds of hours of research done. The amount of each research block (time plus expenses) is entirely up to each client.
Project Description
A written project description is always submitted to the client for their review prior to the start of each research project. After this project description is reviewed and approved by the client, and the deposit received, the research begins.
Deposit
A 50% deposit is required for each research block (amount of pre-set time plus expenses). The balance is due at the conclusion of the project, after the client receives the final report.
Refunds
A client is free to conclude a research project at any time for any reason. If a client concludes a research project prior to their deposit being used for research time or expenses, any remaining balance of the deposit will be refunded to the client within 15 days.
